Kodomo No Jikan Season 1

Now this anime, is quite.. interesting, But.. Let's get right into it.

Background And Origin : Kodomo No Jikan is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by manga author Kaworu Watashiya. The story revolves around a grade school teacher named Daisuke Aoki, whose main problem is that one of his students, Rin Kokonoe, has a crush on him. It was first serialized on May 22

Genre : Comedy, Ecchi, Romance (sorta).

This anime.. is weird, honestly, It's IS VERY weird, So if you like your anime's weird  feel free to watch this one. 

Warning! This Anime Contains Lolis And Other Underage Scenarios
Yes! As my warning says, this anime does contain this kinda subject material, even the main character doesn't want anything to do with it, But you'll see how he manages. Anyway, This anime has caused some controversy and some other problems 

Controversy :
Now from what I have read, this controversy is all about the character (Rin) And The Teacher's age, that which does complicate things and does make this overall, Loli Nature, And yes it does contain some sexual problems, No This isn't a hentai, but it does cause some.. Tension, And no there is no sex scenes or anything, it's Ecchi though (Sexual Situations Without Nudity)
Therefore if you have a problem with any of this, and you still want to know the story, Just read my review, if you think you'll like this kinda thing, then it's worth a watch.

Characters : Like Elfen Lied, There are several, which I'll go over, I'm not going to go into detail of all the characters, but only a few that are Necessary 

Daisuke Aoki : He is our Sensei for this run, He is picked on by the students a few times, being called Virgin due to.. Rin's Knowledge, how she knows is beyond me, Anyway, He's a nice guy and seems to be emotionally stable, He's smart but does lack in disciplining the students, due to his carefree nature. Whenever he does seem to crack down on the students, they get rebellious and go Crazy, Overall, Good Main Character.

Rin Kokonoe : She's our second main character, the "Romantic Interest" if you will, She's mischievous  She's cute for her age, and she's smart, She's claimed to the entire class to be Daisuke's Girlfriend many times, just to get him into even more trouble,  This has resulted in her crossing moral and legal boundaries many times, including blackmail and taking advantage of Daisuke's inability to respond to her forcible advances by threatening to scream that he is trying to molest her, when in fact it is her that is making those advances. 


Kuro Kagami : She's basically Rin's best friend and our Tsunadere for the series, and yes, she is a bitchy character. She basically is in love with Rin, Yep, Some form of Lesbian relationship that she wants. But most times it ends up with her being rejected for being the same gender by Rin. From what i've seen her parents are rich or high class. She tends to consider Daisuke her rival and calls him a Pervert, Lolicon, and other names.


Mimi Usa : Oh God, before I even talk about her, I have to adress something about her, Despite her age of 8, or so, She appears to have a C Cup Breast, Which is random yes, but it does play a big part in the series in ecchi like situations, and NO I don't have any idea why a creator would give that size of a breast to a CHILD, anyway, She's shy, very smart but isn't in the first two episodes due to an event, which I won't spoil, She's known for being picked on and other stuff such as that.

Mimi On the Left, Kuro Right and Rin Center

Plot :  Yes, Surprisingly, there is a plot to this anime. Daisuke transfers to a new school because 
the old teacher apparently quit, after dealing with those kids.. I think i'd quit too, And basically
a school setting takes place. other then that, there really is no plot other then Rin trying to make
Daisuke love her and other bad situations

Animation : Now don't get me wrong, despite the dirty situation, the animation is perfectly fine
and I think the character style is very cute, I actually enjoy this, despite the almost crossing the 
boundaries of being wrong.

Sound (Music) : Honestly I wasn't paying too much attention to the music, but it seems to fit, 
I would have noticed music that doesn't fit.

Sound (Voice) : I like all the voices and they all fit their characters, I like Daisuke's the most
because it really suits his character and him

Ending And Opening : The ending and opening is suppose to be something about love.
But with the whole "Wrong" Aura around it, I can't even pay attention without getting the wrong vibe
other then that, cute song and cute little dance.

Rating :  7/10 Only because I really dislike lolis and underage girls, other then that, It was a good
anime, passable if you don't care for that kinda subject matter, Don't worry, i'll pick a better anime
one for everyone next time, Thanks to Lunarflame, for listening to me banter about this anime
she really got her laughs when I was saying such phrases as "WTF?" and "Is this really happening!?"

I decided it would be right if I started with my Favorite Anime, Elfen Lied, 

Background and Origin :  is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Lynn 
Okamoto. It was originally serialized in Shueisha's 
Weekly Young Jump from June 2002 to August 2005, with the 
107 chapters collected into twelve tankōbon volumes. 
A thirteen-episode anime television series adaptation was produced by the studio Arms
and broadcast on AT-X from July to October 2004

This anime is known for a few things, Action, Gore, A Bit Of Nudity, and Many Many Sad Scenes, 
Again, since I don't spoil anything, you'll have to find out for yourself.

Characters :  We have several main characters to this Series.

Kohta : He's our Protagonist Essentially, So you best get use to him, Not to say he's a bad character
He's from what I understand a Highschool/ College student, who's parents died in an accident.
So Now he's living in an Old Fashioned Japanese Inn, With his Cousin, Yes, Cousin, Yuka

Yuka : Now, I know what your thinking, if you've already watched this, then you know exactly how Yuka
feels about Kohta, Yes, It's Wrong, But for the sake of story, It's Needed, She's a college student/
Highschool student just like Kohta, And according to story, She owns the Inn that they will be living in, 
The Inn plays Many Crucial parts to the story, including many of the Important Events.

Lucy/Nyuu: Now, I put two names there because they are the same characters, just different
personalities, Now we get to the main part of the show, The Diclonius, These are very power from 
what I know, Female basically weapons that are created to destroy mankind, Lucy is apparently the
most powerful of them, Nyuu is her Other Side, that seems to be dominate 75% of the time,  After
Lucy starts to go back into what I call, Sleep mode. During the opening, She is Shot in the head by
a 50 Cal Sniper and it Knocks her Memory out.

Mayu : Mayu is an child who lives with a Dog, That's the best I can give you without spoiling anything
Her Homelife isn't that good, Hence why she lives outside with the dog, she's honestly a very
Wierd character, because everytime she's talking during a conflict she tends to speak like this
"U-Uhm", Yes She stutters, Understandable because she is a young girl.

Nana : Nana is.. well, She's another Diclonius, She is the one who is sent to retrieve Lucy, She's very close to our 
Next Character, and Calls him Papa, Which is her Trait, 
Her weapon, which is known as a vector in this anime, Is longer then Lucy's, She is "Evil" at first,
But she decides after a Certain event, to join the Inn And help everyone else.

Doctor Kurama : He is my favorite Male character, Next to Kohta, Because he is very important, He's basically the "father" of all the Diclonius, and yes, That is why he is Important, Nana Calls him Papa. He is the son of the director

Of the whole organization that creates the Diclonius. For the Record, None of the Diclonius are

allowed to Hurt Kurama, perhaps it's something to do with their code, I don't know.

Mariko :  Mariko is the finale Diclonius you have to meet, She's the final and most deadly one

of the bunch, Stronger the Nana and longer Vectors then Lucy, She only comes into the series

a fair bit later, She isn't introduced right off. She and Kurama have THE MOST saddest part of the

whole anime, I won't spoil it.

Despite that Evil Look, She's actually Really cute.

Plot : The plot is basically a Large Corporation, is attempting to You Guessed it, End the world 

by killing off all human life. Using Diclonius, I don't exactly know what they are, But they are basically

Human weapons, in the forms of Women, Which again, you'd have to watch the series to know how

They are born. It's nothing too bad.

Animation : The Animation is actually really good, I can at least understand what something is, 

and the Design is really good, They really put effort into showing that an anime can have different 

looking characters and designs, Overall Great.

Sound (Music) : The Music is very good, Especially the opening to the anime, Lilium, you should

hear it, even the instrumental version is amazing, The music in the anime itself tends to be very

normal, nothing too dramatic, and nothing too out there, The music during sad parts or during

Fights tends to be amazing, it really sets the mood.

Sound (Voice) : The voice actors in Japanese Dub, do a VERY good performance, i'm actually

convinced someone is sad, someone is happy, or someone is nervous, it's not a bland of voices

that don't fit the characters, English Dub however isn't as good as the Japanese, it's another anime

where you should watch the Japanese dub first, THEN watch the English, I do enjoy Lucy's Voice

in English and Japanese, I don't really care for Kohta's however in English. 

Nana is better in Japanese, Mariko is better in Japanese, and Kurama is actually better in English.

Ending And Opening : The Ending and Opening are Amazing, As is I said, with the song Lilium,

the Lyrics and Sound are great, they both have that.. Religious kinda feel to it, the lyrics are very

lore like and very good, It's recommended you see them.

Emotions : This Anime can get very emotional, During certain parts of it, So if you are easily made

to cry by sad anime, Buckle up and grab some tissues, your going to cry during this.

Rating : 9.5/10 This Is an AMAZING Anime, And You cannot miss it, Trust me. It's My Favorite, after

watching it, I have to Thank Ponsavanh for getting me into this anime, because without Her, I wouldn't

have watched it.

I've Taken a lot of Inspiration to decide to do this Idea, I'd like to Thank Lunarflame Runica more then anyone because she always inspires me to keep pushing forward, Now, I shall basically do It like this,

1: Watch The Anime : I shall watch the entire series, Or do the review in parts, as in Per Season, depending on how large of a series we are talking.

2: Review it based on the parts that make it good, And Avoid Spoilers : I really dislike spoilers, which means most people will as well, Which means I won't ever say things such as "Remember when, this character did that action which affected the story this way?"

3: Take Suggestions : If I don't already have enough Anime, which trust me I do,  I'll take Suggestions, Naturally these will come from Popular Demand, or If I feel the need to review said Anime.
